Oh Look, Some Happy Plants

I thought Wednesday's interview went well, but I'm still waiting to hear back.  There were a lot of interviews scheduled--including a friend of a friend (who accurately termed it "AWWWKWARD.").  It would be quite a bit different from the current job I'm doing, but that might not be a bad thing.  If I can convince myself amid all the self-doubt that I could handle it--I go back and forth, but that's the whole confidence thing with me.

I thought I'd hit it off with someone online, but I haven't heard anything since last Tuesday and I can't tell if there was a miscommunication or what.  Or if I should just keep going my way and if he wants to get in touch with me, he will--and if not, then I'll just have to keep believing that someone else that interesting if not better will come along.  (Sigh.)

So let's just look at the nice plants on my patio and be chill for now, mmmmkay?

Reluctant amaryllis from the library I brought home after end of the school year, newly moved into a taller pot & watered

Planter #1 of Divine Orange Bronze Leaf New Guinea Impatiens

Planter #2 of Impatiens

Planter #3 of Impatiens

Planter #4 of Impatiens

Long view of the patio. My mom planted the Impatiens; aren't they nice?

I hope you get the chance to prove to yourself that you CAN do it! And that you hear back from him soon. Meanwhile, what lovely plants you have.

With my recent interviews, I just handled the angst by gaining 7 lbs and drinking far too much alcohol. Sometimes 2 drinks a night(I never do that)! It was a great plan and obviously made the difference.

Yeah, don't do that.

It can't hurt to do a quick check-in with him, just to say hi. If he still doesn't reply, then you know. Otherwise, it might make all the difference.

And the patio looks very nice!

CCR--Aw, thank you, on all counts.

Sara--wait, there's a Sara that DRINKS? I don't know her! O.K., you can swear off drinking for now, but I think we need to do a birthday drink. Mine OR yours. ;)

Yeah, I did all I can do with the job stuff. And I did send a little "Happy Sunday" message. I guess we'll see. Or not.

Good luck on the job quest, I'm rooting for you.
