Calico Power

I'm thinking it's a love tap on the doggie's nose.

Awwww. Not sure what my kitties would do if they had a dog around.

Well, it isn't much of an attack, that's for sure. Maybe a demonstration of power?

S.D.--Well, you have two cats, so maybe there's strength in numbers?

CCR--No, it looks like, "Got your nose!" Hee.
When The Cat was The Kitten and not yet weaned, she lived with a giant golden retriever. One time when I was visiting, she met the dog for the first time. Her response was to arch her back and hiss--this tiny ball of fluff, as if to say, "I'm not afraid of you!"
The irony was, he was coming to snuffle her affectionately. He loved cats, so he looked a little hurt at her rebuff.

It looked to me like kitty wanted to play.

My four-year-old is now obsessed with this video.

Shalini--hey, thanks for stopping by! (You guys have to see all her cool drawings and stories if you haven't seen her blog yet.)
Well I guess it's a "yay" that your four-year-old loves it, but probably I also owe you a "Sorry" because I'm pretty sure you're not a kitty fan! Ooops.

Many years ago, my little kitten used to do stuff just exactly like that to our two dogs. The smaller dog would snarl at her and the bigger one would retreat with hurt feelings. They were no match for her. She owned them. :) Love calico kittens.

Dave--How did I miss this comment before? I bet she did want to play. And WIN.

Rob--Calico kittens are such personalities. I wish mine had mellowed out a little so I could trim her claws and pill her without a fight, though!
