My Mom Got an Interesting Mother's Day Gift

Remember this little guy?

The now-three-year-old is gonna be a big brother in 2012. (He has noooo idea what he's in for. I don't think his older sibs are going to spoil his excitement, though.)

Christmas is probably going to be a disaster, but I am looking forward to being an auntie again.

Mom, of course, is over the moon. When it comes to grandkids, the more the merrier.

And when she says that aloud, she looks pointedly in the direction of Younger Sister and me.

Congratulations to the family!

I am SO grateful that my mother does not pressure. (She says that if she's not living near enough to see a grandkid all the time, it's not the same.) I don't think she'd mind if it happened, but as it isn't likely to, I admire her attitude.

CCR--well, thank you. I don't know, I think it's unintended pressure, like the "I just want you to be happy and I like grandchildren" sort of thing.
I can see where your mom's coming from. I think my mom likes that my brother's family is close enough but not right next door (a la "Everybody Loves Raymond").

I know the look you speak of.
Congrats to your growing family.

Do all moms have that look down pat, Rob? Thanks for the congrats.
